Clements Cutting Club is excited to announce our CCC Fall Cutting, coming to the Rancho Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, California!

Have you always wanted to compete for a buckle? The Never Won A Buckle Class at the CCC OCTOBER Club Show is the perfect opportunity!

This fun specialty class is designed for riders who have never won a buckle, giving competitors a chance to earn their very first championship buckle in a welcoming and supportive environment.
⭐ $90 Entry Fee on re-run cattle
⭐ Must be a CCC Member
⭐ Rider does not have to own the horse
Whether it's your first season cutting or you've been chasing that first buckle for years, this class is for you. We can't wait to celebrate someone's first buckle victory!

CCC President’s Letter – March 10th, 2026
 
Dear CCC Members,

The start of our 2026 show season is approaching and I know we are all looking forward to getting back in the show pen!

I want to thank everybody who participated in our club shows and CCC Summer Bash in 2025. It was an enjoyable and fun show season. We are so thankful for all of our generous sponsors, board members, and staff who diligently work to keep this club exceptional.

We are grateful to have had a well-attended year-end awards banquet luncheon at Wine & Roses in November where we awarded the second annual Luke Bakey Award to Syd Curtis. We were honored to have this opportunity to appreciate Syd, who has been such a strong supporter and advocate for Clements Cutting Club and the sport of cutting in our area.

I would like to thank Monica Pino for continuing to do an excellent job with our year-end awards and Stephanie LaRocca for her hard work every year organizing our awards banquet. We are on the hunt for a date and venue for this year's banquet, so keep an eye out for this information to follow in the future.

With the new show season, we have some exciting updates we would like to provide our members with. We will be restructuring our classes to be consistent with the changes NCHA has made (earnings/thresholds). For the names of the class and the rules governing them, please check our website, all the information is there for your convenience. We will also be replacing the Beginners Cutting Class by adding an Open Ranch and Non-Pro Ranch class! We are pleased to update that we will be working on a new wash rack, so look forward to that in the coming months.

Once again, we will be having $50 Jackpots in all of our classes at the club shows and giving away Jeff Smith saddles in every class except for the Youth and Ranch classes, which will get beautiful Champion belt buckles instead. While we are working hard to ensure that our shows are as affordable and rewarding as possible, cattle fees are an inescapable part of cutting and we are experiencing a $24 increase in our cattle fee in our fresh cattle classes at our club shows. Like everything else these days, expenses are going up, so we appreciate your understanding of the unavoidable increase. 

For 2026, we would like to welcome Janet Glasgow as our new Vice President and Carine Schlesinger as our new Club Show Secretary! We would like to thank Garret Potter for his help in the cow pen last year and extend a warm welcome our new cattle handler, Roberto Macias. I would like to welcome our new board members, Juni Fisher, Laurel Meck, and Jessika Mehrten, who are already putting a positive mark on our club.

CCC is blessed to have a healthy budget for our year-end awards and this is in large part due to the continued success of our CCC Summer Bash. Thank you Steve Schlesinger for spearheading the efforts and managing this big show!
However, without support through attendance and sponsorships, we wouldn’t be able to bring you the quality shows that we do. I would like to ask everyone who is able to show their support with sponsorships and donations to help us continue to promote cuttings that are fun and enjoyable for all, at both national and grassroots roots levels. Please reach out to Steve Schlesinger or Carol Wood regarding any Clements Cutting Club sponsorship questions.

NEW for 2026!
Updated NCHA Class Thresholds Adopted
Clements Cutting Club has officially adopted the updated 2026 NCHA Weekend Class Thresholds as released by the National Cutting Horse Association. These changes include revised lifetime-earnings levels for several rider divisions and will be used for eligibility beginning with the 2026 point year.
Members are encouraged to review the full NCHA announcement for complete details on the new thresholds and eligibility guidelines.
